The European project “DREAM – A Participatory Approach in the Education Environment to Overcome Discrimination of young Roma on new media” is funded by Erasmus+ KA2 program. The partnership involves: Fundació Privada Pere Closa (Spain; project leader); Arci Solidarietà Onlus (Italy); Ares 2.0 (Italy); Center Amalipe (Bulgaria), Gipsy Eye (Romania), together with schools Obedineno uchilishte P.R.Slaveykov (Bulgaria), Colegiul National Mihail Sadoveanu (Romania) e l’Istituto Comprensivo Carlo Levi (Italy).
DREAM project consists of:
- A need and contexts analysis, to identify the principal stereotypes and discrimination processes – widespread among young people – about/against Roma;
- A toolkit constructed together with parents, teachers, students, to tackle discrimination against Roma community in the school environment;
- A communication campaign to disseminate the results of the project and produce awareness on processes and phenomena which are sadly current.
Duration: 36 months (1 September 2019 – 31 August 2022)
